There is a nugget of truth in each of my paintings. I tell stories, creating archetypal mythologies inspired by my observations of the land and its creatures. The changing seasons, my life in Canada and particularly in the Gatineau Hills all inspire me. I see Spirit in Nature. The birds flying overhead, smoking campfires, loons calling on the lake, fish jumping in the river, languid hills resting under a full moon fill me with wonder, awe and amusement.
